Can't Sleep? Redecorate Your Bedroom

I have always had trouble falling asleep for no good reason. One thing I noticed while on a trip out of town one day was that I slept great at the hotel. I tried to think of why this occurred, and the main things that stuck out to me were that the hotel room was clutter-free and I loved the decor. I decided to redecorate my bedroom not to perfectly match the hotel room, but to organize the clutter and create a room that I just loved. It helped, and instead of dreading bedtime, I began to look forward to entering my beautiful oasis I created for myself. I started sleeping like a baby. I created this blog to encourage you to look into redecorating your bedroom in you have sleeping troubles. It worked for me.

4 Tips For Choosing Your Granite Countertop Color

If you are installing granite countertops for your kitchen, you will want to consider a number of things when it comes to choosing the right color. The color of granite that you choose can make a huge difference in how your overall kitchen appears. Here are four tips for choosing the color for your granite countertops:

  1. Visit the Showroom: Instead of shopping for granite countertops online, it's always best to see it in person. This will ensure that you are going to see how the texture of the countertops makes a difference in how the color appears overall. On top of this, it gives you a better idea of how it is going to appear in your kitchen instead of just seeing a picture of a basic slab online.
  2. Bring Samples to the Showroom: When you go to the showroom of a company like All Marble Granite & Tile Imports Inc to view granite countertops, you will want to bring samples of the paint color you are using for the walls, a sample of the cabinets, and even the flooring to determine what color granite countertops are going to compliment these colors best. Keep in mind that dark wood cabinets and floors are probably going to be best complimented with light granite countertops.
  3. Consider Lighting: The lighting in your kitchen is going to make a huge difference in how the countertops appear. If you have large windows and a good amount of lighting, then darker granite countertops can definitely be a good choice. However, if you don't have good lighting, but you want dark countertops, you will want to choose granite that has flecks of gold or another bright color, such as white, in them that can help reflect more lighting. Most of the time though, white granite countertops or another light color will look best in a darker kitchen.
  4. Don't Choose Rare Colors: Of course, if you can afford rare colors of granite countertops, you can do this. However, rare color granite countertops can be expensive. If you are on a budget, stick with the basic colors and don't even look at the rare colors, which can set you back on making the right color choice. You could get caught up in believing that no color will look as good as the more expensive option and then end up choosing a color you are not happy with.

By following these four tips, you can be sure that you choose the best granite countertop color for your kitchen.
